Today I did some writing after my daily talk with my assistant and it worked in that I got to the piano and was writing.

I have a tiny clock on my piano and I checked the time – it’s over 3 minutes so I think I won’t need to expand it the way I thought I was going to have to.

I’m having a lot of trouble with the last line, “set your life on fire.” I don’t really know what to do with it. Hopefully by the time I get to it I’ll have some material to draw on to develop and the end won’t have to be all new. But maybe not.

I think I need to keep my attention right on where it is written up to – I keep “pre writing” the later sections instead of hammering out the exact notes of what needs to be written out next. I”ll aim to get into the grove of doing that tomorrow.
